There is something very personal in this piece.

I think of the points of hold we place through life, 
one after another, just to keep moving with what has already split, shifted,
or broken in us.

That is how this neck piece came together: section by section, link by link, 
each part brought into relation until the piece could carry itself.
The joins remain visible.
They had to.

There is something volcanic in that, as if liquid fire had hardened
into fragments that still carry force.

The amber keeps the last warmth inside the structure,
while everything around it stays more severe.

What holds here is not perfection.
It is insistence.
