SEEP | Solidified in Memory
I tend to interrupt a form when it starts to feel too safe.
A choker usually asks for one uninterrupted silver line.
Here, that expectation gives way.
Three tubes take its place, and the drop becomes part of the structure rather than something simply added to it.
The pendant moves through the tube, but the piece itself keeps
its own rigidity and weight.
That tension is important to me. There is movement in it, but not softness.
It slides, yet still falls with conviction.
It has always felt close to liquid fire after descent, already formed, already carrying the memory of having flowed and solidified.
Even the surface seems to hold part of that event.
The amber belongs there in the same way. Not as ornament, but as a contained warmth inside the silver.
I love this piece for the way it keeps a certain minimalism, even in its scale.
It refuses the safer version of beauty, interrupts the expected line, and becomes more exact because of it.
