This piece shares a language with VEER and ICON.

Duality keeps returning in my work. Not as contrast for its own sake, but because I do not believe in being only one thing. We shift. We move between states. Holding both without forcing them into sameness is what makes something feel true.

This piece gives me a particular kind of steadiness. Strong. Decided. But not closed. There is a point in it that seems almost exposed, and that is exactly where its character sharpens. Not a flaw. A tension left visible.

The obsidian belongs there for the same reason. It brings forward what usually stays underneath, the parts of the self that are not always shown first, but shape everything anyway. Something more inward, more hidden, more difficult to name, made visible without needing to be softened.

What I recognize in this piece is a balance that stays firm, keeps its risk, and only holds because both sides remain.
